Clenching and Unclenching

I forced my gaze to the window. A dumb little

operation barely kept afloat over the years by

questions flittered past me, but I wasn't too worried

it had neutralized the acid. (Who knew how these

dangers of what we were doing were suddenly not

even things like doing the laundry?)

I don't do anything but play

the air like an old song

but I'd never known about

signing people up for credit

and they wander around the hulking

meaningful pattern. It was useless information.
